Who is a Mature Student?

You are considered a Mature Student if:

— You’re not currently attending high school,AND

— You haven’t been in high school for at least one year since you turned 18.

What documents do I need to enroll with CanSTEM?

— Identification: A copy of your passport, driver’s license, health card, or any government-issued photo ID.

— Academic Records: Your latest academic transcript, including any college or university documents.

When can I start?

We offer continuous enrollment, allowing you to start anytime. After payment, you’ll get immediate access to course content and have up to 6 months to complete each course, giving you flexibility to set your own pace.

Why OSSD and not GED or CAEC?

OSSD (Ontario Secondary School Diploma)

— It is a High School Diploma Accepted by All the Colleges and Universities

— Accepted Worldwide for Study and Immigration Purposes

GED or CAEC

— Only a High School Equivalency

— Limited Acceptance – Ontario College Programs and Registering as an Apprentice

Can I apply for a citizenship application with ESL and CELPIP (LS)?

Yes, you can take coaching for CELPIP (LS) and apply for citizenship. Alternatively, you can also choose to complete ESL Level 5 and obtain your certification to use for the application.

Is GED still offered in Canada?

No, GED is no longer available in Canada. GED has been replaced with Canadian Adult Education Credential – CAEC.

What is ESL and how is it useful for me?

ESL (English as a Second Language) is a program designed to help you improve your English skills for everyday living, working, or studying in Canada. It includes 5 self-paced levels and can also be used for educational or immigration-related purposes.

Which test providers offer English Language Tests for the Citizenship exam?

In Canada, the following are the authorized test providers for English language assessments used for citizenship applications:

CELPIP – Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program

IELTS – International English Language Testing System

PTE Core – Pearson Test of English Core

Can I graduate with CanSTEM?

At CanSTEM Education Private School, mature students who haven’t obtained their Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) can graduate with us once they’ve fulfilled all OSSD requirements.

How will my Post-Secondary Institution receive my marks?

Our administrative team will send your marks directly to your previous high school for transcript updates. Just provide your school’s contact details and student ID number. If you’re graduating from CanSTEM, we’ll update your grades.

How can I get a credential as proof of high school level knowledge?

You can earn the Canadian Adult Education Credential (CAEC) by passing a series of assessments that demonstrate high school-level knowledge and skills. Click here to learn more

Do you offer accelerated or fast-track programs this spring?

Yes, we can help you. We have an Asynchronous online platform, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, along with 5 days a week online Zoom class support of real-time teaching help, 2 hours for each subject.

Do you offer fully online or hybrid options?

We have a fully online, Asynchronous platform with real-time teachers (Teachers available Monday to Friday on Zoom, Platform available through your online account 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with all the teaching, and learning material)
