Online Student Instructions

At CanSTEM Education, we provide excellent online options for students who are balancing travel, practice, game schedules, or other commitments. Our flexible online learning system ensures students maintain a high standard of learning, while receiving continuous guidance and support from our dedicated teachers.

General Instructions for Students

Class Availability

Our online courses are asynchronous and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Students can access lessons, resources, and tasks at their convenience.

Teacher Support (Live Help)
  • Teachers are available Monday to Friday, 2 hours daily, through Zoom meetings.
  • During these sessions, students can receive course-related help, guidance, and solutions to their difficulties.
Course Materials

All courses include handouts, notes, practice worksheets, PowerPoints, quizzes, assignments, and tests. No access code is required. As soon as a task is completed, the next one opens automatically.

Assessments (Quizzes, Assignments, and Tests)

Ample time and guidance are provided for quizzes, tests, and assignments. These can be completed anytime, without camera or teacher monitoring, whenever a student’s schedule permits. Teachers explain mistakes, show how to improve, and guide students throughout the course.

Final Exam

The final exam is conducted through Google Meet, so there is no need to arrange a proctor.

Grades and Reporting

After course completion:

  • Grades are sent to the student’s home school
  • Uploaded to OUAC for universities
  • A report card copy is shared with students and parents
OSSD Recognition

Our grades, report cards, and Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) are accepted worldwide. CanSTEM Education is a Ministry of Education Ontario – inspected and approved private school, with over 1,380 five-star reviews and a 4.9 Google rating.

Enrollment Process

Enrolling is simple:

  1. Click Enroll Now
  2. Select High School Credit Course
  3. Fill out the application form
  4. Upload your transcript or report card (or submit later to confirm the prerequisite)

Once the application is received and payment is made through the Payment Page, an access email with online credentials and course information will be sent to students and parents.
