About the Math Kangaroo Contest
Math Kangaroo Contest (Grades 1-12) - Brampton overview
The Canadian Math Kangaroo Contest is known for fun and challenging questions that reward creative thinking—not just memorized formulas. Students typically face multiple-choice problems designed to build confidence in logic, patterns, and problem-solving.
- Grades: 1-12
- Skills tested: logical reasoning, number sense, geometry, and smart strategies
- Great for: students who love puzzles, want a first contest experience, or aim for awards
We can also prepare students for related contests such as Waterloo math contests and other school math/science competitions. Also, we can suggest a plan based on your child’s level.
Benefits of Math Kangaroo Preparation
What students gain (beyond the contest)
- Sharper thinking: Learn how to break down unfamiliar questions quickly.

- Confidence under time: Practice with timed sets and mock tests.
- Healthy challenge: Students build resilience and learn from mistakes.
- Recognition: Many students aim for certificates, ribbons, and medals through strong performance.
