Acquiring an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) is not only beneficial, but also crucial for molding your future. Obtaining an OSSD opens doors to success in a variety of endeavors, including going to college or university, seeking a trade apprenticeship, integrating into the community, directly entering the workforce, or even starting your own business.

While there are many high schools that offer credits towards the OSSD, CanSTEM Education Private School is unique in that it is one of the few that has been granted permission by the Ontario Ministry of Education to offer both credits and the OSSD itself. You can complete your diploma at CanSTEM Education Private School at a pace that works with your busy schedule, giving you the credentials you need to follow your chosen academic route with confidence.

To earn an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), students must fulfill the following requirements:

  • Completion of 30 credits, comprising 18 compulsory and 12 optional*
  • Attainment of at least two Online Learning Credits.
  • Completion of 40 hours of community involvement (CIH).
  • Successful passing of EQAO’s Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT) or completion of the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Course (OSSLC)*.
