Course Description For Foundations For College Mathematics, Grade 12, College (MAP4C)

This course helps students understand how mathematics applies to real life. Students will analyze data using statistical methods. They will solve problems related to geometry and trigonometry, as well as financial issues involving annuities, budgets, and renting or owning a home. Additionally, they will simplify expressions and solve equations.

Throughout the course, students will think mathematically and clearly communicate their reasoning as they tackle multi-step problems. This course prepares students for college programs in fields like business, health sciences, and human services, as well as certain skilled trades.
